20241001: CRT SS 8900 model now replaces the CRT SS 7900V.
The PCB board inside is exactly the same, the front panel is same, but there are some extra functions.

NOTE 1: The SS7900 models from end 2019 have a TCF (Tone Squelch Function). This allows to enter a CTCSS or a DCS code on each channel. Only available on FM band !
You can select one of the 104 DCS codes and 38 CTCSS codes. After a code is selected it stays active on that channel even when radio is switched off. The display will show when a DCS or CTCSS code is activated on that channel.
To activate a CTCSS or DSC code; switch off the radio, switch on the radio, press MOD/TSQ until display will show MOD TSQ,  immediate puch the channel slector, turn the channel selector to select the wanted code, press the cannel selector to validate the code.
The user manual in the box is not always accurate in the description of this function.
