Spring considerations:
Medium duty springs are great for 60 cm (2 inch) products, okay for 90 cm (3 inch) products but not ideal.
Also, it depends upon the application. Perhaps a customer has a need for longer safety flags for a stationary application, and wants spring to be able to bend easily if bumped or run over.
Then, it may be best for that customer to have a softer medium duty spring for this non-mobile application.
Plated springs versus Stainless steel springs:
If product will be used in a wet environment, then stainless is obviously the best choice, but more expensive.
If cost is more important consideration, then plated springs are the better choice for those customers.
